The Normanby Aboriginal Corporation, in partnership with the Regional Landcare Facilitator Andrew Hartwig, was successful with funding from the Queensland Indigenous Land and Sea Grants Program for their project ‘Improving ground cover and resilience on Normanby Station’.
At two recent Cooktown workshops, Cape Yorkers learned ways to do just this.
The wet season is approaching an end and this year it has been far superior than last year’s for many across our region. It has also been much hotter, so what that means for the dry season ahead we will have to wait and see.
