Queensland Parks and Wildlife Service
The Queensland Parks and Wildlife Service was established in December 1998 as a subsidiary of the Queensland Department of National Parks, Sport and Racing and is primarily concerned with conservation actions and maintenance of environmentally protected areas within the state of Queensland. The protected areas that the Queensland Parks and Wildlife Service maintain offer necessary areas for protecting wildlife and maintaining biodiversity while allowing for reasonable outdoor opportunities for people.
