This work will complement activities already being conducted for ‘Project CY072: Western Cape Feral Pig Control – Pormpuraaw’ and as part of activities associated with participation in the Western Cape Turtle Threat Abatement Alliance (WCTTAA).

Through this project the Ranger program will:

• Contribute to development of public awareness raising materials regarding access and use of turtle nesting beaches during marine turtle nesting season and installation of associated signage on beach access points
• Review/develop pig management plan
• Conduct predator control trials
• Establish a turtle camp at Christmas Creek
• One ranger to obtain aerial platform shooting qualifications
