Muunthiwarra Aboriginal Corporation have commenced a small grant project with Cape York Natural Resource Management to support communities managing landscapes within waterways, wetlands and springs on country. Munthiwarra traditional owners have elected project activities to include recording of ethnobotany and sharing of traditional knowledge of botany of the lakes with traditional owners. The aim is to conserve and protect the natural and cultural resources of the Muunthiwarra Traditional Owners with the project being planned for Monday 18- Friday 22 June 2018, and will include a camp on country at Jack Lakes (middle lakes region) with traditional owners.
