GIS Officer
Lars Kazmeier started work with Cape York NRM in February 2019 with 12 years’ experience in environmental data capture and analysis, database development, spatial analysis and environmental constraints mapping. Lars is a skilled GIS (Geographical Information Systems) specialist with proficiency in Environmental Management, GIS and Zoology.
He has significant experience in fauna studies, having completed his graduate study of upland rainforest possums in the highlands around Ravenshoe, Far North Queensland and the data collection component of a PhD study of Lumholtz’s Tree Kangaroos near Malanda, Far North Queensland. He has assisted in several James Cook University allied studies including rock-wallabies, quolls, and reptiles.
