Project Officer
Katelyn is a Cooktown local and a well-known face in the region.
After attaining a Diploma of Science, Majoring in Environment and Sustainability at the University of Southern Queensland, she became a trainee, then project officer for South Cape York Catchments. Katelyn joined Cook Shire Council working as a Biosecurity Officer.
She has worked alongside Indigenous and Ranger groups, QPWS, Landcare groups, landholders and not-for-profit organisations and is passionate about any environmental practices, from natural resource management to biodiversity, conservation and sustainability.
In her free time, Katelyn enjoys camping, fishing, hunting, sports and exploring all aspects of Cape York Peninsula.
