Maree grew up in Melbourne and spent the first 17 years of her career in executive recruitment.  In 2015 she relocated to Indonesia as a digital nomad, eventually establishing a dive business with her partner on a remote island. Upon returning to Australia in 2022, Maree steered her career towards environmental management, most recently in a field role for the National Tropical Weed Eradication Program.

Maree joins Cape York NRM with a strong background in administration and project coordination combined with lived experience in a remote location.

Outside of work Maree enjoys hiking, camping and diving and is passionate about protecting our environment.
