Ben joined the Cape York NRM Cooktown team in 2022 as a Project Officer.

He initially moved to Cape York working with Queensland Parks and Wildlife Services as a Ranger and Wildlife Officer. This provided him with field experience working with Traditional Owner groups across the Cape and learning about the project work of Cape York NRM.

Ben is a graduate of Griffith University where he studied Marine Science, majoring in Marine Biology and Coastal Resource Management. This knowledge took him up the coast of Queensland working with multiple research groups focused on Reef Care and Conservation studies. He is passionate about pursuing improved sustainability of natural resources, land management and environmental welfare.
