Interim Chief Executive Officer for Cape York NRM Ltd

John Gavin, CEO of Cape York Natural Resource Management Ltd, has announced his resignation effective from 5th April 2022.  We would like to thank John for his leadership and commitment during the last four years.

For the immediate future, the Board has appointed Bob Frazer, former CEO of Cape York NRM Ltd, to the position of CEO.  Bob’s experience in the organisation and the region will ensure a smooth transition while recruitment for a new CEO is underway.

Amid the recent changes within the Organisation, the Board would like to acknowledge the ongoing work of all staff of Cape York NRM in delivering projects and activities across our vast Cape York region while continuing to nurture a strong connection to country for our whole community.

As the Chair, Sally Witherspoon said, “We are dedicated to ensuring a secure future for Cape York Peninsula and Cape York NRM.  Our priority is to ensure we have dedicated and committed people in our Organisation for the long-term effective operations of CYNRM and the NQ NRM Alliance.”
