The Cape York Peninsula (CYP) Pest Management Strategy provides a planning framework for coordinated pest management between research bodies, agencies, communities, industries, individuals and the government. From this plan stems the CYP Feral Pig Management Plan that focuses on one of the most prolific, widespread and damaging pest animals in Queensland – the feral pig.The CYP Feral Pig Management Plan shares the vision of the Queensland Feral Pig Strategy (2004) of adopting the best practice management options to minimise the impact of feral pigs on the environment, economy and health of Queensland.
