About the program

The goal of this four-year program is to work with participating grazing land managers to develop and implement practical action plans that improve soil stability, native vegetation, and water quality in the Joint Management Area (JMA) of the Mitchell River catchment. The Joint Management Area includes the Palmer River and the northern side of the Mitchell River catchment. This program is being delivered as a partnership between Nothern Gulf RMG and Cape York NRM, and is funded by the Queensland Governments’ Natural Resources Investment Program.
