Project partners Cape York NRM, Griffith University, the Department of Environment and Science and Yalanji Joint Venture are working together to:

• remediate a large alluvial gully complex on the west Normanby River
• reduce the amount of sediment entering the northern Great Barrier Reef
• support Traditional Owners to gain skills in all aspects of gully remediation through accredited training
• develop a gully remediation demonstration site that landholders can visit to see which method may work best for them.
