*(Message from the Chair) *It is with great pleasure I bring you my first report as Chairperson for Cape York Natural Resource Management, for our third year of operations. We have continued to mature and grow, and our new board is setting strategic direction for natural resource management arrangements on Cape York.
This Regional Investment Strategy contains the priorities for investment for the five years 2013-2018 as identified through consultation with the peoples and communities of Cape York.

Cape York NRM is the member-owned Regional Natural Resource Management (NRM) body for the Cape York NRM Region.
Cape York offers many great camping locations. There are campgrounds in national parks and Cape York Peninsula Aboriginal Land (CYPAL) parks, Council-controlled areas, Aboriginal Land Trusts and there are some privately-owned campsites.
Careful rubbish disposal is crucial in Cape York Peninsula. Mosquitoes, fruit flies, and plant and animal diseases can enter the region from Papua New Guinea and Asia. Rubbish increases the risk of these affecting public health, agriculture and the local economy.
