Based in Mareeba on the Atherton Tablelands, King Brown Technology is a locally owned business providing premium compost, education and consultancy services to the North Queensland region.

King Brown was founded in 2010 by a group of passionate young locals in partnership with the Northern Gulf Resource Management Group with the goal to improve soil, food, community and environmental health. 

We value and trust our products because we use them ourselves in our home and market gardens.

Another King Brown passion is to demonstrate effective localised small-scale methods to process municipal and agricultural waste into a valuable resource for local food production.

WORKING WITH THE COMMUNITY

We have formed close working relationships with multiple partners to demonstrate the benefits and support the uptake of compost use in the FNQ region. Our operation at the Mareeba Shire Council Waste Facility is the result of a successful 2-year collaborative trial between Tablelands Regional Council, Northern Gulf Resource Management Group and King Brown.
