Shelley Lyon

Shelley Lyon has lived on Cape York for over 40 years. Shelley has extensive conservation experience from decades working in Cape York’s national parks and private conservation properties with husband Barry, and is a well-known advocate for conservation throughout the Cape York community.Previously, Shelley has lived and worked in Lakefield, Jardine River and Cape Melville National Parks, and she also worked in Cooktown as an early childhood educator.Shelley has always been an active Cape York resident holding membership over time in a number of organisations such as Cape York NRM, the Wenlock River Catchment Group, Cooktown Crocodile Management Group, and the Endeavour River Catchment Group to name a few.
