Geoff commenced work as Knowledge and Participation Manager with Cape York NRM in November 2020 having previously worked in a broad range of conservation and natural resource management organisations over three decades.
He has worked in environments ranging from sub-Antarctic Heard Island, the boreal forests of Canada, the tropical forests of Peru, and in Northern Australia and the Pacific Islands.
Over the last 14 years Geoff worked for The Nature Conservancy focusing on savanna burning and climate change adaptation and mitigation initiatives, working with Indigenous people in Australia and the Pacific.
Cape York NRM will commence consultation on the revised Cape York Regional NRM Plan in March–April 2021.
