Mark Kerswell started with the then named Mareeba Stock Squad in 2005.  The Stock Squad has gone through a few changes since this time, now  being named the Major and Organised Crime Squad (Rural) but their core business still remains the investigation of Stock and Rural Crimes in the Far North. 

Mark, and his team, work with all stake holders, Government, non-Government and people in the rural Industry to investigate, disrupt and prevent offences in their area, which covers the Far North, from Cardwell to the Thursday Island and West to Normanton.

At the 2021 Cape York Grazing Forum Mark and his team will be discussing Best Practices to help prevent crimes impacting on your rural enterprises, and techniques to assist with Police investigations should these crimes occur in your area.
