Tash started working with Cape York NRM in February 2018 in the role of Sustainable Industries Officer based in Cooktown. Her role is to work with the Cape York horticultural producers on sustainable agricultural practices.

Tash was born and educated in NSW and relocated to Cooktown to take up this position. She completed her Bachelor of Ecology at the University of New England in Armidale in 2018, and also holds a Diploma of Agriculture which she attained in 2014 at the Western Institute of TAFE in Dubbo.

In 2017 Tash travelled to Bhutan with the university and undertook studies on Himalayan ecology, focusing on camera trapping, water sampling and primate behavioural studies. She has a two-year working background in geotechnics which includes soil compaction testing, ground-water monitoring, and ground movement monitoring.
