Emma came to Australia from the UK in 2002 and has dedicated most of that time to her life in Cape York. Marrying into a cattle station, Emma and her husband are raising four children whilst running the family business. Emma studied psychology before arriving in Australia, and has since become a qualified teacher, continuing with studies in a Bachelor of Agriculture. Emma is passionate about developing agricultural opportunities in the north, whilst working closely with natural resource management, across all land uses and managers. She is committed to the future strength of the region, economically and environmentally, whilst recognising that people and community are core to those successes.
Emma was active on the steering committee which led to the success of Cape York NRM and has been on the Board since 2013. Emma is Director of NRM Regions Queensland and Chair of NRM Regions Australia.
